Abstract

It is estimated that in the Fungi Kingdom there are six million species distributed around the world and they vary, from edible species those datca affect human beings in different ways, causing diseases, the mycoses. The genus Candida has a range of species varieties of clinical and biological importance. There are several clinical syndromes caused by this genus, such as vulvo vaginal candidias, oral candidiasis and candidemia. The importance of these fungi in the biological world motivated this study with the scientific production on Candida spp and its important variables. Candida sp yeasts are commensals to humans, but in the face of an imbalance of the normal microbiota or a suppression of the immune system, these yeast increase in quantity and can lead to clinical pathologies, being the main cause of fungal infections, reaching 90%. From the imbalance in defense mechanism sorby external factors causing an alteration in the normal flora, some species, which are colonizers, can lead to candidiasis. It presents itself in various forms, from localized clinical forms (mucocutaneous and cutaneous) to disseminated infection (candidemia). The antifungals used for treatment can be fungicides, causing lysis of the microorganisms or fungistatic s, inhibiting growth. It is essential to study Candida species and clinical variables.
