THE PUBLIC POLICY OF DISTRIBUTION OF FEMALE CONDOMS: A REVIEW SYSTEMATICS OF LITERATURE

In order to discuss the importance and adhering of female condoms in society, this review was carried out. This is a narrative literature review in which articles were searched in the Virtual Health Library (BVS-BIREME), the Scientific Electronic Library Online - SciELO, US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health - PUBMED - and Google Scholar. Female condoms are important to avoid sexually transmitted infections, especially when the partner does not wish to use a protection, however, gender inequality and the lack of disclosure of this form of protection are obstacles in the adoption of this method of prevention.
