Abstract

The Experience was developed from the relevant growth of children with a clinical diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and cases of children with behaviors comparable to the disorder, but with no diagnosis. This disorder is characterized by conditions that compromise the individual's social behavior, communication, and language. Not knowing how to act in the face of a new situation, family members and guardians of users/patients sought support in health, education and social assistance in the municipality of Capela-SE. The immediate search was for a Neuropediatrician for continuity of clinical treatment and in an attempt to confirm the diagnosis clinically. Then, he sought support from specialists from the multidisciplinary team for intellectual, motor and labor development. Finally, monitoring at school and a space for coexistence for pedagogical learning, social interaction and adaptation to the local reality. The municipal management brought together professionals from the departments of health, education and social assistance to develop a project that would expand care from integrality and longitudinality, based on the problem-solving strategies necessary for users and family members who experience ASD.
