Abstract

The objective of the present study is to investigate the current techniques and tools developed and made possible for clinical-investigative use through Cone Beam Computed Tomography - CBCT, also known as Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), in Forensic Identification and medical-radiological analysis in processes judicial or criminal. Therefore, a review was carried out using the Scielo and PubMed database in the country that involves Cone Beam Computed Tomography in the last ten years. Three articles were found in PubMed and fifteen in Scielo, in which the use of the aforementioned diagnostic imaging techniques was observed. More information about the methodology is urgent for the promotion and legitimacy of the investigative technique for Legal Radiological Sciences in Brazil.
