PERSPECTIVE OF PREGNANT WOMEN FACING THE VACCINATION CALENDAR IN PRIMARY HEALTH CARE

Abstract

The National Primary Care Policy (PNAB) was approved by ordinance GM/MS, number 2436, of September 21, 2017, which establishes guidelines and standards for the organization of the PNAB, which updates definitions, responsibilities, infrastructure, ambience, operation of Primary Health Care, assignments of professionals, work process and financing of actions. The main objective of this study is to reproduce the perspective of pregnant women in the face of vaccination. To this end, this is a descriptive study of the bibliographic type with a qualitative approach to the data through the analysis of scientific publications. Vaccination in pregnant women occurs at a time of vulnerability and concern of the woman, while the woman feels responsible for the health and well-being of the fetus she is pregnant. Prenatal care is essential for the quality of labor, childbirth and puerperium. In this context, PAHO and the Latin American Center for Perinatology (CLAP) elaborated routines, protocols and manuals in order to guide professionals as to the conducts that should be taken in prenatal consultations and promote the qualification of this care. However, it can be concluded from the studies analyzed that the low qualification of professionals who perform prenatal consultations on the vaccination schedule results in low vaccination coverage of pregnant women. With this, it can increase the rates of preventable infections in pregnant women and in babies. For this, it is necessary that professionals seek knowledge about the subject, seeking to improve the guidance provided to pregnant women. Furthermore, it is important that health institutions offer courses and training to professionals, facilitating their updates on the subject.
