Abstract

Introduction: The coronavirus infected and killed people, to contain it emerged as measures of isolation and social distance. In the academic environment, distance learning was instituted, so teachers were inserted in a context where technology and time management may or may not be allies. Objectives: to outline the epidemiological profile of teachers and evaluate disorders such as work stress, depression, and anxiety. Methods: Cross-sectional quantitative study that used 4 questionnaires, 3 already validated adapted for the virtual model and 1 author online, the invitation made by email and WhatsApp. Results: 22 teachers from 10 different courses, mostly female, in a stable union, with an income of up to 10 salaries and less than 39 years of age participated in the research. Of these, 12 (54.5%) were classified as mildly depressed and 2 (9.1%) as severe, for anxiety 5 (22.7%) were mild, 2 (9.1%) moderate, and 1 (4.5%) severe, for stress 5 (22.7%) had a high degree, and of the total 8 (36.4%) had more than one diagnosis. Conclusion: Although adherence was lower than expected, the results seem to indicate a tendency towards illness and relapse in teachers, making it necessary to evaluate the variables related to illnesses.
